It's strange looking back on the time I've spent here. It's hard to tell reality from the fantasy sometimes... I know that a lot of what I remember didn't happen, but it's harder to determine what did happen. How much of it was just outright hallucinations and how much of it was real? Surely parts of it must have been real somewhere, to help provide a basis for my fantasies, I don't know.

I always hate this feeling. I don't like thinking too hard about this kind of stuff. At least before I didn't have too many problems telling what happened to ZEX and what happened to me, but now... it's weird. I mean, I know that me and ZEX were sort of connected, in a way, but... I mean, he's on his own planet and everything. He shouldn't be me, not when I'm awake.

And... he's not real, as Dex would tell me if he were here. I wonder if I can call Dex or something now? Let him know I've woken up and can go home. I want to get out of here, there's... I don't know, something about this place makes me uneasy. I mean, even if I was hallucinating during the past... Jesus, the past month, I was still hallucinating some pretty scary stuff. There's a reason for that, right?

Well, maybe not... Dex would know, I guess.

God, I can remember when he came to visit me the first time. Like I didn't even recognize him... I must have been really crazy to just... forget him like that.

Well... I didn't forget him exactly. Just... rewrote him. Like with everyone.

Like Caleb... I hope he's okay. I know I cared about him, but I didn't think I was so obsessed that I'd rather have him eaten by zombies than released. I know ZEX was obsessed with him, but that seems a little... violent. Not to mention ridiculous. I've always had an overactive imagination (another five dollars to Dex) but the things ZEX saw... I was really just totally insane, wasn't I? None of it was real, not really. Just like ZEX himself isn't real... at least, not here.

It's just me now, I guess.

Dex said they covered everything up... I hope so. If Caleb got released, then hopefully he's okay now. And if I'm still here, then I guess he hasn't tried to press charges against me. Dex is probably right... I probably can't see him again.

He was so nice to me here... and our delusions lined up so perfectly at points. I guess we were just encouraging each other. I really didn't mean to hurt him... at least he forgave me. Maybe him getting released helped me wake up...

I can... sort of remember the two of us... together, but I don't think that really happened. The nurses would never have let us do something like that. It seems awfully real though. Probably says something about me...

It's weird to read back into this journal and think about some of the things I said and did. I was acting so strangely when I was gone. I've lost a lot of weight here because I refused to eat! How crazy do you have to be for that to happen to you?

Maybe whatever they did to my head made me wake up, I don't know. It's hard to say. I wish I could just get some answers. Everytime I think about that dream... it makes me nervous whenever the nurses come near me.

If Dex were here I bet things would be a lot different. It's too bad he's not visiting today so I can talk to him. I should ask the nurses if maybe I can call him or something. He'd probably just tell me to stay put and listen to the doctors though. How boring.

I'm going to be on hiatus for the next 36 hours or so, because I'm going on a trip to a farm-type thing with a bunch of people, and thus will spend all my time getting drunk and stomping around in the woods instead of on the Internet. Also I don't want to carry my laptop up there, and I doubt there's Internet access anyway. So. Yeah. SORRY GIEZ.

Due to school-related stress and frustration I have to put my characters on 'slow posting' until further notice. I'm really sorry to anyone that has a character stuck in a thread with one of them, but I'm willing to backthread when needed.

If there were any further threads planned, I'd totally understand if you'd rather reschedule since I have no idea when my school stops being an ass. If not, keep in mind that I won't be fast with tagging. Also, on a separate note, if my characters don't have any plans at all for a shift I might not post them at all. I guess it...depends. Just a heads up.

RL just kind of punched me in the gut, so. Slow posting while I deal with that. I'll try not to be too slow, though. :/

Due to the ideas in the post here, we've added "!deleted" and "!edited" tags on damned_bulletin. Their function is pretty self-explanatory, but yeah: NPC Mods, please tag a post as "!deleted" if a nurse takes it down (still respond to the post itself with damned_nurses to make sure everything's clear, of course), and if your nurse edits the post (again, by clarifying in a comment), please mark it as "!edited". (Players could also do this to help out, if they wanted? :X)

And, since this is a pretty universal circumstance that all the event-affected characters will encounter: if your character has items/clothing/outfits that they've collected during their stay at Landel's, you, as a player, can decide to implement any one of the following scenarios: if you feel that your patient wouldn't check for the items or wouldn't be bothered by them even if they found them, then they can stay. If you feel that your patient would question how certain items got there, those certain items could be mysteriously gone for the day. If you feel your patient would turn all their illegal possessions over, all those items could be mysteriously gone for the day. Basically, whatever allows things to be IC, realistic, and not screw the player or usual character over. 8D;

ALSO, in regards to this coming Nightshift and how the event will apply to it: Court and I haven't quite decided how it's all going to work or if we'll have different options for players to choose from, so hold on that for now and we'll let you know before Nightshift begins. :B

Azure Flame and Kiarae: Do you guys want to backthread Hime, Kagura and Sokka raiding the office, or shall we just leave it as is?

It would make it super-easy for other players and NPC mods if, when a post is taken down, the character who posted it could make note of it in the original post? Nothing huge, just maybe a [this note has been removed that stands out so characters don't accidentally reply to something that was taken down after multiple threads began from it.

That'll save other players the trouble of having to go through comments to see if it's still there, and other nurses from accidentally removing it twice for the same reason. :)

EDITED AGAIN FOR MORE IMPORTANT STUFF I think the best solution might be to add a 'deleted' tag to the list of character tags, so that we could tag the posts as deleted? That didn't occur to me.

What's the policy on languages that patients are allowed to know? Abe's majored in reading everything he can get his hands on and different languages would be helpful in occult studies, so I think he can at least crudely handle a number of nonEnglish languages. Am I allowed to just go with whatever I can personally justify (I was thinking of him using Aramaic, ancient Greek, and/or other dead-but-not-buried languages as a way to get around the censors; Latin would just be too obvious) or do I need to run them by the mods first?
